Princess Marie of Bavaria, Dutchess of Saxony

Lithographic portrait of Princess Marie of Bavaria (1805–1877), who became Duchess of Saxony (Herzogin von Sachsen) through marriage to Prince Frederick Augustus of Saxony, later King Frederick Augustus II. At the time of this portrait (1833), he held the title of Prince Co-Regent of Saxony, hence the reference Mitregent von Sachsen.
