Little Flower Vendor – Charming Small Antique Print

A charming small 19th century hand colored print of a young flower seller, or Blumenmädchen, shown barefoot and carrying a basket of freshly gathered blossoms. Dressed in simple rural attire with her red cap and fitted bodice, she embodies the sentimental spirit so beloved in the Biedermeier period, when scenes of modest country childhood were especially popular.

Presented within an ornate scrollwork border and oval vignette, the piece has the intimate character of a keepsake print. Though modest in size, roughly postcard scale, it has a gentle decorative appeal and would sit beautifully in a small frame, perhaps in a child’s room, hallway grouping, or tucked into a quiet corner.
