A picturesque view of Airolo in Ticino (Tessin), showing the village church and clustered chalets set against rolling green pastures and the soaring alpine peaks beyond. Painted in rich greens and soft evening tones, the work captures both the quiet charm of the valley and the grandeur of the surrounding mountains. Signed Th. Schwarz at lower right and inscribed “Airolo,” with a date that appears most likely to be 1927, though possibly 1957. Presented in its original decorative black and gilt frame.
