Leo Steck was a swiss painter, stained glass maker, and writer from Bern, Switzerland.  After originally studying science, he began to paint in 1907, at first self taught, and later studying at the Atelier Julien in Paris, and then traveeled to Spain and from 1911 to 1913.  After converting to Catholicism, his work focused predominantly on religious themes.  He created over 120 stained glass windows for churches through the Bern region, including in the Die Dreifaltigkeitskirche (Church of the Holy Trinity) in Bern.
