Swiss Village Landscape

 

The Bernese painter and graphic artist Hermann Platner studied at the Academie de la Grande Chaumier in Paris with Charles Blanc and later traveled throughout Europe. He is a recipient of the Art Prize of the City of Bern.

His works span many different media - oil, watercolor, drawings, and collagues and his favorite subjects included landscapes, street scenes, ports and boats.
