Werner Hofmann – Lucerne Artist and Printmaker

(1935- 2005)

Born in 1935 in Zug, Hofman lived and worked most of his life in Lucerne (Luzern), Switzerland.

Hofmann was a member of the Swiss wood engraver’s association, Xylon, and has worked a in that medium since the early 1960s.

Hofmann created woodcut illustrations for special editions of some of the great works of world literature including works by James Joyce and William Faulkner.
