This beautiful 19th Century lithograph is based on a work by the French romantic painter and lithographer Edouard Henri Theophile Pingret .

The text on the bottom left reads: Ed. Pingret 1826. The text on the bottom right reads Imp. Lith de Bore direigee par Noel aine et Comp. There is a plate number in the upper right hand corner Pl. 6.

Pfeffers is a village in Switzerland near St. Gallen which is famous for its convent and its hot springs.

Some light discoloration of sheet as can be seen in photos.
