The beautifully excecuted pencil drawing is signed H.L. Wys and dated 1847 lower right. The title “Jeunes Villageoises ” appears in the center below the drawing. The drawing may be an artists copy of an earlier oil painting, perhaps by Jean Baptiste Greuze, or another 18th Century master.

We have been undable to find more information about H. L. de Wys.
