Charming 1911 Plans for Oeri-Preiswerk Home in Riehen, Switzerland

We fell in love with this beautiful architectural drawing for the complete fairy tale charm of the form of the building, but we believe there may also be a link to the inspiring Swiss politician and journalist Albert Oeri who was deeply engaged in opposition to Hitler during World War II and was a leading proponent of press freedom and of opening the borders to refugees fleeing Germany.

Dr. Albert Oeri married Hanna Preiswerk in 1910 and this plan is marked “Oeri-Preiswerk 1911.”
We do not know if this delightful home was ever constructed.  We would love to hear from anyone who has further information.

The original architectural drawing is below.  We have also carefully digitally restored it to offer as posters in a variety of sizes. (See sidebar)
