By Swiss artist Friedrich Johannes Grunder who was born in 1880 in St. Gallen and died in 1969 in New York.

Grunder was known for his beautiful engravings of landscapes.

This beautiful image shows a pathway lined with birch or beech trees leading along a river into a forest.

It is engraved in a rich burnt umber tone.
