Johann Jakob Haid (1704–1767) was a German Engraver who worked in Augsburg and was well known for his beautiful Mezzotint (Schabkunst) engravings.
This charming engraving shows a couple tasting a drink from a fine porcelaine cup.
Verses about taste and eating appear in French and German below the engraving.
