Battle of the Bison and the Bear - Wood Carving

Dramatic and imposing wood sculpture of a sturdy Bison or Buffalo battling a small Bear or Bear Cub.  Beautiful rich dark patina on the wood gives it the look of a bronze statue.

Art Deco style circa 1930.   American West, American Wild West, cowboy life theme. This piece would be equally at home in an rustic Montana log cabin or an elegantly appointed Swiss alpine chalet.

Condition: There a a few small scratches, one on the cheek of the bear and also on the flank of the bison. Easily blended with a bit of varnish.
Monogram “ML” carved into base.
