Original watercolor by Bruno Hesse entitled Spychweid. Bruno Hesse grew up painting at the side of his father, the Nobel Prize winning author Hermann Hesse (Siddhartha, Steppenwolf, The Glass Bead Game). He studied with Cuno Amiet, one of the leading Swiss artists of the early 20th Century.

“La Marchande de Fraises de Berne” (The Strawberry Seller from Bern). Vibrantly hand colored 19th Century lithograph. A beautiful young woman sits in a Swiss landscape selling baskets of strawberries. Her hat and the front of her dirndl are adorned with wild berries.
